THE SNAKE THAT DEVOURS US

It's not everyday that Shee says to me "ona sasa mashida za kujitakia" and it's almost everyday that Ontita gets between our arguments and says "si mpigane basi kidogo Tu."

My 'kiburi' has proven to be harder than a macademia core no denial in that. They warn me of things yet unseen like how God warned Noah. I still go ahead to do as I please because my thoughts promise liberty unlike your relationships. Known or unknown to me I still end up unstable, with a balancing tear because you simply can't see me cry.

I read self-help books and give bad reviews or rant out of how they are a cliché or how I hate them but I read them like it's my daily dose. A string that makes me hang on. Just a little bit longer. If only I could agree for just a second they actually help.

Have you ever read somewhere or does it go without say that "mwanamke adui wa mwanamke"? You smile to your classmate but deep down there's deep loathe in you or patch your issues but forgiving doesn't mean forgetting. You backbite that highschool cubemate or even a stranger in town, without a care in the world.

Your salty soul is just too salty that you carry a burden around and when you ask people, 'is it easier to love or to hate ' you hope they say to hate because that's what you do best.

Jealousy, hate, maliciousness, injustice and witchcraft has become the societies new normal. Speaking of witchcraft, just the other day I boarded a Supermetro in Kitengela heading to town and twenty minutes or so in I started feeling super dizzy. I felt bad, my whole body was in some sort of trance and I couldn't pin point which part of my body was really not okay. Was it my head, my tummy, my legs, my hands were shaking, I swear to God I wasn't okay.

Have you heard of these stories of how people are robbed in Nairobi? I started thinking I was drugged. Juu ebu explain to me like a child how someone can be so okay in one minute and the next so disoriented if it isn't some sort of witchcraft.

To cut the long story short, I got to my destination well and what hurts me the most is that no one believes you.

My dad thought I had Malaria😭. My story seems unbelievable and for a second I wish that maybe if I got robbed then I would be believed. Or maybe if I had a little bruise or maybe if I was found in Kawangware, not recalling the events of what had happened then maybe someone would actually listen to my "crazy story."

Ogopa Kanairo. Whoever lied to you in those Nairobi rendezvous stories and documentaries that the capital city of Kenya has the most friendly people definetly lied.

Where are we at as a society? We are the kind that is ready to bash out a celebrity, steal from each other, be insesitive and laugh it off as we sprinkle "kwani hujui jokes."

I am sorry if the world has been cruel to you and I can't promise freedom. I can't preach like my father but I hope you and you and you reading this blog will correct that character flaw in you.

Don't be the snake that devours someone. Don't be that conductor who called me kienyeji on Sunday because I had this long church dress that I genuinely hate😂 . Don't be a con to reality. Look before you ponder.

Be sensitive.

Forgive and forget.

Stay alert.

Love and light.

This is a safe space, you can cry or laugh in the comment section.

We'll fight with Shee soon (friendly fight) and Ontita with her storytelling skills will be interviewed.

Lots of love.

Like share and comment.

feedback is highly appreciated.
